Our Copies

Copies are made either by moulding the original and making a cast  directly from that mould,  or by sculpting a replica which may also be moulded and have multiple castings made of it.

Adaptations

When creating adaptations, the process generally begins with the moulding and casting of an original, or of our sculpted version of an original.  The piece is then adapted to various extents by cutting away sections, re-arranging elements and sculpting entirely new sections.  Once the adapted sculpture is finished, another mould is made, from which the final piece is cast.

Originals

Originals are created by first designing and sculpting an artwork, then moulding the sculpture and casting the final piece.

Our Methods

The mould making and casting methods used include working in silicones, plasters, various resins and plastics, as well as metals.

We make moulds both in studio, and also onsite if there is an original which cannot be moved.

Work can be commissioned in plaster, acrylic compounds, epoxy, expanded foam, polyurethane and polyester resins, bronze, aluminium and pewter.
